What is the difference between the old Biotique Kohl liner and the new one? Where can I buy the older one?

The older one comes in a completly black tube and it is much darker than the new one. It comes on much more easily and seems like true kajal/kohl. The new one comes in a clear plastic container and it seems more like eye liner and not kohl. It takes many more applications to get it on dark enough and doesn't seem to last as long. Where can I get the old one and is the old one safe and without lead?
