What am i doing wrong? Liquid liner/ curling lashes question?

I use liquid liner on my top eyelid, i do LET IT DRY for 5 minutes or so, then i curl my eyelashes...my eyelash curler obviously touches my eyelid, and then ends up wiping off 75% of my liquid eyeliner...this never seems to be a problem for anyone else, what can i do to fix this?

p.s. theres no way going around the curler touching my lid

p.p.s. i can't apply mascara first %26amp; then eyeliner...doesn't workWhat am i doing wrong? Liquid liner/ curling lashes question?
The problem is your liquid eyeliner. I suggest you invest in a better quality eyeliner. Especially a waterproof one. What am i doing wrong? Liquid liner/ curling lashes question?
Curl your lashes, put eyeliner on, then put mascara on ;)

that used to be a problem for me. it might just be that your eyeliner smudges really easily. that was my case. when you run out, try getting a different eyeliner. good luck
Hey, Baby B!

That challenge is not peculiar to you......trust me. I was there about 10 years ago, when i was still a green horn in the art of make-up. The ultimate trick, Baby B, is to apply the eyeliner first, let it dry, then bring on the mascara. Invest in a very good eyeliner that dries really fast.......good eyeliner dries in about 10 seconds. I'd recommend that you get an eyeliner in any of these brands- Maybelline, Constance Carroll, Barry M or Sleek. They're absolutely fabulous.

Now to your lashes....it's obvious that they are very curly. I'd advise you to get a transparent gel mascara that you can practice with everyday. You can apply as many times as you remember during the day. Mode of application- starting from the upper part of your lashline(the part where you apply the eyeliner), apply the mascara in an outward motion. You should have a mirror very close to your face. Your intent here is to literally draw or stretch out the lashes. I'm certain that your mode of application is applying the mascara from the lower part of your lashline(the part closest to the eyeball). The effect of this style is that the lashes are pushed back upwards, as against what i recommended which gives you the pull effect. I think you should also look out for thin brush applicator in whatever mascara you're buying.

I hope all of this has made some sense.
get a new liner the one you have is obviously taking too long to dry
